LGMS classrooms are designed for a 3 year age mix from 2 ½ to 6 years old. It provides a prepared environment where children are free to respond to their natural drive to work and learn. Children are given opportunities to engage in spontaneous meaningful activities under the guidance of a trained adult. Through their work, the children develop concentration, order, discipline, independence, and love of work.

Sensorial Materials are designed to help the children develop their abilities to make judgments, compare, and discriminate based on size, shape, weight, texture, color, and temperature; store up impressions in their muscular memory and develop the use of certain muscles and motions.

Practical Life exercises build the children’s natural interest and help them develop good work habits, concentration, eye-hand coordination, a lengthened attention span, and control of their bodies
